Exploring Science and Technology

Local youth got a chance to explore science and technology this week at the 4-H summer workshop. First they had to think like a scientist, then design like and engineer. Using the skills they learned each team built a marshmallow catapult. In the afternoon they explored the areas of robotics, crime science and environmental science.

Pickles and Jam!!

We had lots of fun in the Extension kitchen this week! Youth participating in our canning workship learned to make Blueberry Jam and Pickles. I must say the jam was outstanding and so much fun to make! The participants also carefully cut and packed their pickles in hopes of winning a blue ribbon at the fair next week.
